Case study 01 · 2022 · Restaurant & delivery
Sushibuzz — Brussels, Belgium
Aim: Send people to the website, capture them with the Facebook pixel, and remind them with retargeting ads until they order.
- Video ad
- Website visit
- Reminder ad
- Order
The creative
A 16-second video that sells the fire, not the menu.
Real footage from the Sushibuzz kitchen: flames in the wok, the chef at work, food made to order. Shot vertical for Facebook and Instagram feeds and Stories.
Why: Ordering food is an impulse decision. Fresh, made-to-order cooking in the first seconds gives people a reason to stop scrolling and feel hungry.
Who saw it
Hungry people inside the delivery zone.
The first ads reached people nearby who already order food online.

- Age20–40
- InterestsSushi · Japanese food
- BehaviourDeliveroo, Uber Eats & Takeaway.com users
- WhenThu–Sun, 17:00–21:00
Why: People outside the delivery zone can’t order, so reaching them wastes budget. Delivery-app users are already in the habit of buying, and dinner time is when they decide.
Facebook pixel & retargeting
Everyone who visited was remembered.
The Facebook pixel on the website recorded who visited. Reminder ads then followed the people who looked but didn’t order.
- AudienceWebsite visitors, last 14 days, no order
- PlusWatched 50%+ of the video
Why: Most people don’t order on their first visit. A reminder while the craving is still fresh brings them back, for less than the cost of finding someone new.
The call to action
Order now, straight to the website.
Every ad carried one clear action: tap Order now and land on the Sushibuzz website, ready to order.
- ButtonOrder now
- Goes toSushibuzz website
Why: One action keeps the decision simple. Sending people to Sushibuzz’s own site is what lets the pixel see who visited, and who still needs a reminder.
The result
The owner told us the campaign carried the business through Covid.
The campaign ran in 2022, while Covid was still keeping many diners at home. The ads kept customers finding Sushibuzz and ordering.
